Smashing Success!

It is life’s small victories, like not burning my toast, turning off the iron and remembering to apply deodorant that get me through the day. But my colossal triumph yesterday was the most extraordinary, and I believe I have cosmetics to thank.

THE SMASH
My beloved Iphone died. It was unexpected and sad, but mostly maddening, as I knew it required a trip downtown to the Apple store without an appointment. (Visiting the Apple Genius Bar without an appointment is like trying to see Sex in the City without tickets ordered way in advance!) So before my expedition, I lifted my spirits the only way I knew how…through makeup. I chose a few items from Smashbox Cosmetics.

THE SUCCESS
Generally, my “customer service” encounters leave me with a wad of Kleenex and a face full of tears. This one, however, left me with A NEW IPHONE and no questions as to how mine perished! Having said nothing differently than in all my past experiences, all success pointed to the new cosmetics. Here are the winning items:

Jet Set Waterproof Eyeliner (in Bronze) - Applied with an Eyeliner 2 brush along the upper lash line, the effect is soft. While I did not tear (thankfully!), it remained on my lids until I washed it off.

Artificial Light Luminizing Lotion (in Glow)- Like its namesake, my cheeks, temples, collarbone and shoulders were glowing. (This is also a wonderful replacement for the Beautydean Must-Have.)

Lip Enhancing Gloss (in Aura)- This is the gloss Golidlocks would choose! It is the perfect fleshy nude/pink tone. It stays in place, is not too tacky and is unscented.

While you may not walk out with a new phone, you will walk out with an extra skip in your step!
